He gave a lecture on this topic.
In this session, Dr. Do Eon-rok presented on
‘Which canthoplasty technique should be performed according to eye shape,
and the application of canthoplasty
distinguished by the characteristics of each patient.’
In addition to existing canthoplasty techniques,
he introduced new canthoplasty methods.
While past canthoplasty mainly involved fixation to the periosteum,
the newly presented canthoplasty technique involves fixation to ligament tissue,
not the periosteum. He compared the pros and cons of these two
canthoplasty techniques and shared his unique surgical skills and
clinical know-how.
Meanwhile, Dr. Do Eon-rok was recently appointed as a speaker at the 2021
International Congress of the Korean Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (Aesthetic
Plastic Surgery 2021, APS2021) and presented on the topic of canthoplasty.
As an academic committee member of the Oculoplastic Surgery Research Society of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons,
he continues his consistent research and academic activities, including annual academic presentations and live surgery demonstrations.
